The neighbourhood
offers the possibility of following interesting sea and mountain routes,
where you will be able to visit the resorts which better characterize the
Tuscan-Ligurian border.
Leaving from Arcola and
tracing on the map a circle of 5 kilometers, you will see inside:
- The most beautiful part
of the Magra River Fluvial Park (reachable on foot) and his banks well equipped
with ways to practise open air sports and structures for the familiar trip
in the country;
- Lerici, his Anthropological
Museum and San Terenzo, exclusive bathing resorts with their characteristic
castles on cliffs in face at the sea.
- La Spezia, the centre
of the water streets to the islands (Palmaria, Corsica, Sardinia) and his
military arsenal of Marina, with the famous Naval Museum and the important
Museums Formentini and Lia;
- Sarzana, splendid medieval
village, with his impressive strongholds and his towers, centre of interesting
demonstrations between which, in the first 20 days of August, "The attic
in the road", known review of antique trade which gathers hundreds of exhibitors
from all the Italy.
Widening the circle traced to 10 kilometers there will be easily reachable:
- to west: the "Five Lands",
studded with countries built to peak on the sea (Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Manarola,
Vernazza and Monterosso);
- Portovenere and the Palmaria
island, two rare beauty pearls;
- Montemarcello, to south,
in the heart of the it's own named park, where you can go in for splendid
walks with the enchanting sight of our sea and smell the perfumes of the
natural stain (thym, rosemary, ruta);
- Bocca di Magra, pretty
river country and river harbour;
- Luni, archaeological site
and home of it's museum;
- Marinella of Sarzana and
Marina of Carrara, bathing resorts much frequented by young people.
- To east the soft hills
of the Lunigiana and the Appennini, called here there Apuane Alps for their
height and structure, like the alpine one, on which you can perform memorable
excursions, maybe enjoying a view one in Italy: the sea from almost 2000 meters
...
- At last, toward north,
an open door to the heart of the Lunigiana and his green valleys, the place
of the finding of the very ancient Stele statues, visibles to the Etnografic
Villafranca Museum In Lunigiana, which the symbol of our Bed And Breakfast
is derived.
The artisan shops you will be able to find in the neighbourhood offer products
typical of the various resorts: from the Fosdinovo embroideries and the D.O.C
Luni Hills wines to the typical alimentary products: mes/ciua, panizza, pesto,
vegetables cakes, prosciutta castelnovese, olive oil.
In the same way you will find all for all the tastes: discotheques, bars,
pubs, refined restaurants or small inns specialized in the classical Ligurian/Tuscan
kitchen.
Beyond, only the imagination. The Luni Bed And Breakfast becomes the base
for more far trips, perhaps in the near Versilia,(20 minutes of motorway
always fluent), where to spend pleasant evenings to do shopping in the exclusive
shops or trasgressive society nights in the fascinating clubs of Viareggio
or Forte dei Marmi...
Or good point to make base for the visit at art town: Pisa (72 Km), Firenze
(134 Km) etc...
